Privacy Policy

Effective October 29, 2026

1. Responsibility and scope

Thania Sanchez Velazquez, doing business as TFI Daycare Centers (TFI, we, us), is responsible for personal information handled through this Website and related Website inquiries.

This Policy covers franchise inquiries, general communications, Website technical information, and photographs or testimonials we publish. It does not replace a childcare centre's enrollment privacy notice covering records such as attendance, health, emergency contacts, and billing. Additional notices will be provided for detailed franchise applications or childcare enrollment as appropriate.

Privacy contact: Thania Sanchez Velazquez, methodology.tfi@gmail.com, +1 (250) 999-5075.

2. Information collected

The inquiry form requests your name, telephone number, email address, city or region of interest, message, and whether you currently operate a daycare. We also receive information you include in emails, calls, and follow-up discussions. Provide only information relevant to your inquiry.

Website infrastructure may process IP addresses, browser and device information, page requests, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.

We may maintain consent, communication preference, and privacy request records. Published photographs and testimonials may identify children, parents, staff, or other participants; these require appropriate authority and consent where required.

Do not submit children's identifying information, health information, government identification, or financial records through the general form. If unnecessary sensitive information is received, we will restrict access and take reasonable steps to securely remove it unless retention is legally required.

3. Purposes

We use information to respond to inquiries, send requested franchise materials, discuss region and business suitability, arrange requested discussions, maintain follow-up records, operate and protect the Website, prevent misuse, manage privacy requests, and meet legal obligations. Optional marketing requires the consent or other permission required by applicable law.

We will explain materially different purposes and obtain additional consent where required before using information for them.

We identify purposes at or before collection and obtain the consent required in the circumstances unless the law authorizes otherwise. Sensitive information and optional uses require appropriate additional care and consent. Accepting Website Terms is not blanket consent to unrelated data uses.

You may decline to provide information, although we may then be unable to respond or assess your inquiry. You may withdraw consent through our privacy contact, subject to legal restrictions and reasonable notice. We will explain the consequences and any information we must retain.

An inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Unsubscribe using the instructions in a marketing message or contact us. Necessary responses to active requests and legally required communications may continue.

5. Technology and providers

We use hosting, form delivery and storage, email, CRM/database, analytics, spam protection, and embedded services. Each may collect information necessary for its function, including IP addresses, browser and device information, page requests, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. Processing locations, retention periods, and available controls vary by provider and purpose.

Browser settings can restrict some storage but may affect functionality and may not control every technology.

6. Sharing

We share information only as reasonably necessary for identified purposes and as permitted by law: with personnel and service providers who need it to deliver hosting, communications, inquiry management, or security; with professional advisers under confidentiality obligations; where legally required or otherwise legally permitted; in a business transfer with appropriate safeguards and required notices; or with another identified recipient at your direction or with required consent.

Providers receive appropriate contractual or other protections. Inquiry information will not automatically be forwarded to independently operated centres or prospective franchisees for their own purposes without an appropriate notice and legal basis.

We do not sell personal information or disclose inquiry details to unrelated parties for their own marketing.

7. International processing

Information may be processed outside your province or country. It may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or authorities under local law. We remain accountable for protections required of us and use appropriate safeguards. Contact our privacy contact for information about these arrangements.

8. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for identified purposes, legal obligations, and legitimate compliance or dispute needs, then securely delete, anonymize, or dispose of it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to information sensitivity and restrict access to those who need it. No Website, email system, or storage method is completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary inquiries. We assess privacy incidents and make notifications and reports required by applicable law.

10. Children and photographs

Inquiry features are intended for adults; we do not invite children to submit inquiries or create accounts. However, the Website displays photographs that may identify children.

For children unable to provide meaningful consent, we obtain consent from an authorized parent or guardian where required. Public promotional use of identifiable children's images requires appropriate separate authorization; childcare enrollment should not be assumed to grant advertising permission. We consider children's interests and capacity and seek to limit identifying details.

Contact our privacy contact about a child's submission, an image concern, or withdrawing permission. We will verify authority proportionately and assess the request under applicable law. We can remove material we control where appropriate but cannot guarantee deletion of copies others independently downloaded or republished.

11. Rights and complaints

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information about you, information about its use and disclosure, and correction of inaccuracies. You may request deletion or withdraw consent, subject to legal limits and retention requirements.

Contact our privacy contact. We may request only information reasonably needed to verify identity or authority; do not initially email identification documents. We will respond within legally required periods and explain permitted refusals, extensions, or fees.

If dissatisfied, contact us so we can investigate. You may also complain to the regulator with jurisdiction, which may include the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (https://www.oipc.bc.ca/) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (https://www.priv.gc.ca/). Rights depend on the law governing the activity.

External websites have their own privacy practices. The Mi Mundo contact link opens an email to mimundodaycare@gmail.com. Information sent there is received through that mailbox and handled by the responsible centre operator. Confirm the operator and applicable enrollment privacy notice before sending sensitive child or family information.

13. Changes

We post revisions with a new effective date and give appropriate notice of material changes. When a new use or disclosure requires consent, we seek it before proceeding; posting a new Policy alone does not provide that consent.
